LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Demi Moore was reportedly barred from attending her first husband Freddy Moore’s memorial service after she admitted that she cheated on the musician in her shocking tell-all 'Inside Out'. The celebrated 72-year-old rocker, who was born Frederick George Moore, died on August 25, 2022, after a decade-long battle with Alzheimer's, according to his wife Renee.

According to Renee’s blog, 'It’s Not a Rumour', Freddy was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 60. She also revealed that the ‘Indecent Proposal’ actress made an effort to get in touch with Freddy and Renee before writing her scathing autobiography. “Before her book came out, she sent me an email asking me if there was anything she could do to help and you know, she there, she was trying to be very caring and everything,” Renee said, according to Radar Online.

'Things that were not so flattering about Rick (Freddy) in the book'

“And then I realized when the book came out it was because she was going to say some things that were not so flattering about Rick (Freddy) in the book and I think that was the whole purpose of her reaching out,” Renee noted, adding, “I didn’t like it – and that was that! I told her in the email I didn’t need anything from her.” She added that Moore divorced Freddy in 1985, and was banned from attending his memorial service at LA's Factor’s Famous Deli, where he often had his favorite, pastrami on rye.

In her 2019 autobiography, Moore wrote that a night before her 1980 wedding with Freddy, she snuck out of her bachelorette party and slept with Paul Carafotes, who was her co-star in her debut movie ‘Choices’. Later that same year, Carafotes told RadarOnline that his co-star, who was 18 at that time, ran from her bachelorette party with the intent of shacking up with him.

'She was presistent'

“I told her I was tired and going to bed, but she was persistent,” Carafotes recalled, adding, “I told her if she wanted to come over, I’d leave my kitchen window open, but she’d have to climb the fire escape. Next thing I know, I’m being woken up — Demi is standing over me with a bottle of Dom Perignon saying, ‘Let’s party!’ She was wild. We were all that time.” Reflecting, on the claims, Renee said Moore should have shown more tact.

“Rick was an amazing person, an honorable person, a really good person – he was very much in love with her and she just, you know, cheated a lot so it wasn’t the best,” Renee said. She also revealed that the ‘Ghost’ star was not a dedicated wife during their five-year-long marriage.

“The funny thing is she even says in her book that I was always there, at their place, she complains about me in her book about I was always there,” Renee continued, adding, “They were never by themselves because I was always there – like it was annoying. But she was busy doing all her crazy stuff too. We were just hanging out as friends, so.” Renee said that Moore did not call and offer her condolences.
