Grant Williams was born in Houston, Texas on November 30, 1998. From 2016 to 2019, he was a member of the University of Tennessee basketball team.

In his junior year, he was selected Southeastern Conference (SEC) Player of the Year and helped Tennessee reach the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16.
