Yahoo! Entertainment reports that Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, could face arrest in light of new evidence involving her domestic-assault case against the Marvel star. In a surprising turn of events, the NYPD has filed a probable cause “investigation card” after Majors filed an assault complaint of his own suggesting that Jabbari was responsible for the highly publicized March 25 incident, which contradicts the narrative that we’ve been familiar with up to now.

Though Majors is still very much a defendant in this case, his new complaint against Jabbari is incriminating enough to press charges for third-degree assault when she returns stateside.

This development came to be after the Manhattan District Attorney refused to drop the charges against Jonathan Majors last week, despite the actor’s willingness to submit photo and video evidence that he thinks will exonerate him from his charges. Having maintained his innocence since the incident occurred, Majors and his defense attorney, Priya Chaudhry, took the evidence directly to the Chinatown precinct and laid out their case. And it seems like this evidence was enough to put Jabbari in some hot water, meaning she’s facing assault charges of her own.

The version of the story that we’re familiar with involves Jonathan Majors allegedly assaulting Grace Jabbari on a Chinatown street corner on March 25. But Majors has since countered this narrative, stating that he was the one who was assaulted, and that he has photo and video evidence that will illustrate this point.

Jonathan Majors documented the injuries he sustained to his face and arm at the time of the incident, and alleges that Jabbari’s injuries were self-inflicted after a drunken fall down the stairs hours after the original alleged assault occurred. Jabbari’s version of the story suggests that Majors twisted her arm, hit her in the head, and broke her right middle finger on the street corner, and that he’s solely responsible for her injuries.

Though we’re hearing two very different accounts of the events that transpired on March 25, Jonathan Majors’ evidence was substantial enough to give investigators probable cause to arrest Jabbari, and pursue the ongoing case from a different angle.

While Jonathan Majors works with his attorney to clear his name, he’s still very much dealing with the fallout because of the allegations that were originally made against him. Not only did the US Army pull an ad featuring Majors until the case comes to a resolution, but it’s also been rumored that Marvel Studios has delayed the release of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and Avengers: Secret Wars to possibly replace Jonathan Major’s Kang given how high-profile his assault case is.

What really happened on March 25 is still clearly not kn own, and we’ll have a clearer picture as this case further develops. At the time of this writing, Jabbari, and her management have not made any comments.
