Just a sign from God After Dominik Mysterio, Rey Mysterios daughter, wants to continue the
The Master of 619 Rey Mysterio has blessed the professional wrestling industry with his skills. His two decades of dedication to WWE have made him one of the biggest names in the business. This success has resulted in his son, Dominik Mysterio, tracing the path and adding to Mysterio’s wrestling legacy. Recently, Rey was asked whether his daughter would like to continue the legacy or not, and his response leaned on the positive side.
While speaking with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Rey stated that his daughter, Aalyah Mysterio, will like wrestling once she gets into it. He cited the time in Las Vegas when she requested to start training to wrestle. His response at that time assured her that she would get into the ring one day, but it has not been fulfilled yet.
It’s scary if she does cuz she might like it. She’s never stepped in the ring. So she was in Vegas not too long ago. Like ‘Dad when are you going take me to go training’ just cuz I told her, Yeah, we… we’ll step in the ring one day.’ Um for some reason or another, it hasn’t happened. And I think that’s just a sign from God saying don’t get her in there because she’s going to like it I mean.Rey Mysterio via The MMA Hour
Helwani added that she would catch the bug if she decided to hit the rings. Mysterio stated himself to be overwhelmed as he sees even his kids showing interest for his passion.
Aalyah made her way to WWE programming back in 2020. But she never wrestled a match in the ring and played an essential role in his family’s feud on Raw. She was involved in a romantic angle with Buddy Murphy turning him babyface. Her recent appearance happened at WrestleMania 39 when “Dirty” Dominik threw water on her face as she sat in the front row during his match with his father, Rey.
Rey Mysterio states his Mount Rushmore of wrestling
The Mount Rushmore of wrestling is a concept that is subjective for every individual. These faces represent the overall pro-wrestling business by staying at the top. When Rey Mysterio was asked about it, he mentioned that the two stars stated by him during an interview with Kevin Hart remain the same.
The two stars were Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair, who kicked off the growth of the business. Often referred to as the pioneers, Hogan and Flair are the biggest names in WWE. Rey then added his Lucha Libre buddy, Eddie Guerrero, and stated that he had expanded the culture worldwide.
Mysterio then came in for the fourth name and respected Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. But he then threw Kurt Angle‘s name in it, as he considers him the best athlete who has come from another sport. Rey praised Angle’s dedication and his incredible in-ring performance in WWE.
